Our internal giclee printing is intended to give us, and our customers a resource expectation, based upon test results and time period of the products circulation. Our products are designed to provide your prints with color accuracy and truthfulness to the original images they were created from.
BullDog Giclee Digital Printmaking products strongly emphasizes the value of substrate compatibility. BullDog conducts on-going tests for exposure to light, humidity, handling and abrasion. The individual products are tested, but more importantly the combination of ink, substrate, and coating are tested. We have experienced that the quality of an individual product component is of little assurance of the durability of the components once it has been combined to create a saleable print. BullDog compares the results of internal tests and field tests with the test results from Wilhelm Imaging Research (WIR).
We look to WIR for scientific confirmation and direction. WIR is considered by many to be the leading authority in research on the life expectancy of inkjet and other digitally printed photographs, as well as that of traditional black-and-white and color photographs. WIR has been commissioned to test BullDog’s products individually, and in different combinations with one another. This helps ensure that we can recommend the best combinations of products for our customers to use, whether they are printing giclee fine art, an economical décor print or signage.
BullDog has developed a sophisticated family of large format printer products that have been proven for longevity and brilliance. We offer a line of color-coded canvas products that are engineered to service your specific needs. All BullDog Canvas features a proprietary gelatin coat that enhances the color gamut of the canvas. BullDog Coatings are the first vinyl-based coatings found on the market. The vinyl keeps the BullDog Coatings flexible, which will increase the life of your prints; unlike all acrylic-based coatings, which eventually become brittle over time and crack. We also offer a variety of giclee ink, artist papers, impasto, and large format printing equipment. When used in combination, BullDog products represent the highest standard in reliability and performance.
