1) What are the standards for the optimal environment for the storage, printing, and stretching of BullDog canvas?
The standard for storage of digital fine art canvas is 70 F at 50% RH. This is the ideal condition for canvas before, during and after printing. For more detailed storage and handling recommendations please refer to our giclee print conservation tips.
2) What kind of canvases are on the market today?
There are two types of digital fine art canvas on the market today. There are water resistant (Magellan, Rexam) or swell-able receptors Gelatin (BullDog), PV oH (Tarajet). The water resistant product is designed to absorb liquid. The BullDog Ultra coating is not recommended for this type of product. Instead we would suggest the D308 water based clear flex. This is an acrylic product made by Triangle Digital.
